A luxury five-star resort on the casual island of Tobago, Coco Reef caters to your every whim. You will enjoy a cosmopolitan clientele, beautiful West End beachfront location on Store Bay, outstanding service, luxury accommodations, and continental cuisine.

With 135 spacious rooms, suites, and villas in the two-level Caribbean style stucco buildings, Coco Reef is bustling with activity from business clients, Englanders on holiday, Americans seeking a respite, and South Americans looking for a little pampering on a tropical isle. The more formal atmosphere here, except on the beach, of course, will require guests to dress for dinner, not parade around in a swimsuit, and make dinner reservations to be assured to getting into the main dining room. If this is what you’re looking for on vacation, Coco Reef will not disappoint. The breathtaking lobby features hand-made terra cotta tile, elegant curved staircases, thirty-foot bamboo palms, fountains and statues. Complete spa, beauty salon and exercise facilities, a social director, six boutiques, afternoon tea, two restaurants and bars, a protected beach and swimming area, pool, kayaks and windsurfers, tennis, and access to local golf—all this is yours and only 5 minutes away from the Crown Point Airport, and 10 minutes from Scarborough, the capitol of Tobago. You can even be transported to and from the airport in a Bentley, the sophisticated English touring car.

The rooms and suites are decorated in a tropical décor, with tile floors, wicker furniture, marble bathrooms, plush towels, hairdryers, TV, AC, phones, refrigerator, and balconies or patios overlooking the bay. A wonderful honeymoon suite sits on it’s own point overlooking the sea and features luxury suite and bath facilities. Tropical hibiscus, bougainvillea, and other colorful flowers bloom in profusion all over the well-manicured property. Beach palapas and lounge chairs are set up every day along the white sand beach and special beach towels are available. The small pool sees little action as everyone heads for the lovely beach.

Families will find baby-sitting service available and the breakwater-protected beach area safe for kids. No special children’s programs are provided. Conference facilities are also available for meetings and small conventions.

Bacchanals beach side restaurant and bar features local dishes, burgers, snacks, and those great tropical drinks with little umbrellas. You can eat here from late morning through the evening in casual attire and swimsuits. Tamaras offers elegant dining on the second level overlooking the bay. A reservation is necessary for dinner, and only a few entrees are available each evening. Breakfast is buffet offering all the typical fare to satisfy both American and European tastes. Afternoon tea is served each day in the bar over the lobby next to Tamaras. You must dress for tea, as you do for dinner, so no shorts and casual attire allowed at this time. Happy hour can be enjoyed casually at Bacchanals, on the beach, or at Tamaras after tea. Weekly entertainment features a variety of local entertainers and musicians from steel bands, to soloists and musicians playing the guitar or piano.

Sightseeing excursions, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, windsurfing, horseback riding, golf, birdwatching, hiking, and rainforest visits can be arranged through the social director in the main lobby. Rental cars and jeeps are available here also, and taxis are plentiful. Several restaurants and other hotels are within walking distance if you want to eat off the property during your stay.

This top-notch resort matches up with other luxury resorts around the world. For sophisticated elegance, friendly service, tropical luxury at it’s finest, Coco Reef is a fine vacation or honeymoon choice.
