Party all the week
People may visit the island to enjoy peace
and quiet but there are those who enjoy
a taste of nightlife too and certainly Tobago
can provide a feast of entertainment of all
kinds.
Tobagos entertainment week
begins on Tuesday at Divers Den at Bon Accord
with karaoke, while on Wednesday you can join
in the local talent contests open to locals
and visitors alike at the Golden Star in Crown
Point these entertaining evenings are
great fun for everyone around. Thursday is reggae
night at the Cobra Tray in Store Bay while Friday
is bar hopping night and action is centred around
the Cobra Tray, The Deep in Crown Point and
Lush off the Shirvan Road. Robinson Crusoes
at the Hilton Tobago is also another popular
Friday night venue. For those who enjoy live
African drumming , Saturday night at the Indigo
should not be missed. Sunday leads everyone
to Sunday Schoolin the village of
Buccoo where contrary to ones expectations
Sunday School has no religious connections.
It is in fact, Tobagos biggest street
Fete and the fun begins around 9.00 p.m. with
one of Tobagos finest steelpan bands.
Locals and visitors dance away the night together,
enjoying reggae and calypso while tempting smells
of cooking arise from the barbecues and street
food stalls.
Most hotels offer guests nightly entertainment
with local musicians and cultural groups whose
incredible contortions under flaming sticks
of fire excite everyone.
