Seaport – Scarborough, Tobago

Most of the sea traffic i.e. Cruise ships, Inter Island cargo etc. docks at Tobago’s deep water harbour at Scarborough, the capital of Tobago.

Island Hopping – Trinidad - Tobago

BWEE Express and Tobago Express Airlines provide a service from Trinidad to Tobago with flights several times a day. (Flight time approx. 15 minutes)

A Ferry Service is operated by the Trinidad and Tobago Port Authority for passengers, vehicles and cargo (Sailing time approx. 5.5 hours)

Departing: Port of Spain Trinidad to Scarborough, Tobago
Monday to Friday at 2.00 p.m. daily
Sundays at 11.00 a.m.

Departing: Scarborough, Tobago to Port of Spain, Trinidad
Mondays to Fridays and Sundays at 11.00 p.m.
(There are no sailings on Saturdays.)

During peak periods and Pulbic Holidays extra sailings are scheduled

Airport/Seaport Departure Tax

Any traveller staying more than 24 hours in Tobago and Trinidad are required to pay a departure tax in local currency (TT$ 100) before leaving by either air or sea. Trinidad and Tobago passport holders over 60 and children 5 or under are exempt from Departure Tax.
